What we collect
The email address you give us when you request a free booklet. If you buy one of our books, the payment itself is handled entirely by our checkout processor — we receive your email address and what you ordered (so we can deliver it and honor the guarantee), and we never see or store your card number. We don’t ask for anything else, and we don’t buy data about you from anyone.
What we do with it
- Send you the booklet you asked for;
- Send occasional letters from the Archive — new material, and news when our volumes are released;
- Nothing else. We never sell, rent, or share your address with anyone.
Leaving is easy
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you’re out — no questions, no “are you sure,” no delay.
Who holds the data
Our mailing list is managed by Kit, a U.S. email service; your address is stored on their systems under their security practices. This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which collects basic, anonymous visit statistics (no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels).

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
Want your address deleted from our records entirely? Write to contact@oldwisdombook.com and we’ll confirm it’s done. California residents: this is also how you exercise your rights under the CCPA. The same address works for data requests under Brazil’s LGPD, which applies to our record-keeping as publisher.
About the content
Everything we publish is educational and historical — a record of what things cost and what people did in their time. It is not financial, legal, or professional advice. Government data and quotations reproduced in our materials are in the public domain; our compilations and designs are © 2026 Forgotten American Wisdom.
