What you’re buying
Digital books — PDF files, set in large, comfortable type, made to read on any tablet or computer and to print at home if you’d rather hold paper. Every purchase is a one-time purchase: no subscription, no recurring charge, no “membership” — ever. The files are yours to keep, to read on whatever you own, and to print for your household.
Buying it for someone else
You may, and plenty of people will. Checkout has a gift option built in: you buy the book, you give us the name and email of the person it’s for, and the download goes to them. That copy is theirs to keep — not a loan of yours.
You may also buy it for yourself and print one copy for the person you’re giving it to, if you’d rather hand over paper. One printed copy, one recipient. That is a gift, and it is allowed.
What stays off the table is passing the file itself around: no posting or emailing the PDF, no file-sharing sites, no copies for a group or a class, no reselling. One purchase, one household — the courtesy a small press lives on. If you want several people to have it, buy it for each of them, or write to contact@oldwisdombook.com and we’ll work something out for a classroom or a family that’s spread out.
Delivery
Instant. The moment your order goes through, the checkout page hands you the files and a receipt email arrives with the download links. If anything fails to arrive, write to contact@oldwisdombook.com — a person answers, usually the same day.
The Cited-Source Guarantee
Two promises, not one:
- Seven days, every cent back. Read it, and if it doesn’t earn its place on your shelf, write us within 7 days of purchase and you get a full refund. No questions, no forms.
- Every figure traces to its source. If you ever find a figure in our books that doesn’t trace to the bulletin, table, and page we cite for it, tell us — we’ll correct the record in the next edition and refund you in full, whenever you find it.
How refunds work
Write to contact@oldwisdombook.com from the email address you bought with. The refund goes back to your original payment method, normally within a few business days. That’s the whole procedure.
Honest prices
When we print a founding price and a date, the price truly rises on that date — and it doesn’t quietly come back. No countdown clocks, no counters, no games. If a page here ever says a price ends, it ends.
Payment and your statement
Checkout is handled by our bookshop processor, so cards and PayPal are accepted and your card details never pass through us — we never see or store your card number. Your bank statement may show the processor’s name rather than ours; your receipt email will always say exactly what you bought.
